Sternitzky, Nancy (Marriage - 11 February 1967)

Dover Air Force base chapel in Dover, Del., was the setting for the February 11 wedding of Miss Nancy Sternitzky, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sternitzky of Granton, and Glendel D. Galloway, son of Mrs. Mary Galloway and the late Julius Galloway of Sunny6side, Wash. The 2 p.m. double ring ceremony was performed by Chaplain Co. Miller.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of peau de soie and Alencon lace, fashioned with a fitted Empire waist and square neckline. Alencon lace medallions adorned the skirt. A peau de soie coat that fell into a chapel train was attached to the shoulders by bows. A pearlized double crown held her bubble veil. She carried an arrangement of white carnations and red roses, entwined with ivy.

Miss Judith Robinson of Atlantic City, N. J., was maid of honor. Mrs. Marlene Ast of Syracuse, N. Y., a cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid. The attendants were attired in Empire styled gowns of aqua chiffon fashioned with pleated puff sleeves and elbow white gloves. Each carried cascade bouquets of miniature yellow carnations.

Miss Tammy Walls of Dover, Del., served as flower girl, wearing a gown of Alencon lace and peau de soie, fashioned as that of the bride. She carried a miniature bouquet similar to the bride’s.

Larry Sternitzky of Beloit, brother of the bride, was the bestman. Gary Lawrence of Dover, Del., was groomsman.

A reception followed the ceremony in the N.C.O. Club for 125 guests, which was followed by a wedding party for the immediate families and c lose friends.

The bride attended Granton High School and is a 1963 graduate of Luther Hospital School of Nursing in Eau Claire. In July of 1964 she enlisted in the air force and will continue to serve in her profession in that branch of the service.

Mr. Galloway is a graduate of Grandview High School in Washington and has been in the air force for the last six years. He has orders for London, England.

The couple is residing at 21C Star Rt. Camden, Del. In April they plan to visit at the parental home in Granton, just prior to leaving for three years of service in London. The bride’s parents plan to hold a reception for area relatives and friends at that time.

Those attending the wedding from away were: Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sternitzky of Granton, Miss Kay Olson of Beloit, Mr. and Mrs. William Ast of Syracuse, N. Y., Mr. and Mrs. Fred Marty of Memphis, N. Y., Maj. and Mrs. James Howard of Ft. Meade, Md., and Miss Judith Robinson of Atlantic City, N. J.
