Schlinsog, Ella (30 January 1884
- 17 February 1967)
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the
Zion Lutheran Church in Granton for Mrs. Ella Schlinsog, 83, of Granton, who
died Friday in a hospital in Marshfield. The Rev. E. T. Keller of Pittsville
officiated. Burial was made in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Schlinsog, the
former Ella Gotter, was born January 30, 1884, in Potter. In 1901 the family
moved to Clark County. On June 6, 1905, she was married in Granton to the late
Henry Schlinsog, who died in 1955. They farmed in the Town of Grant until 1950,
when they moved to Granton.
Mrs. Schlinsog was a member of the South
Grant Sewing Club, Zion Lutheran Church and the Zion Ladies Aid.
She is
survived by a daughter, Mrs. Erwin (Meta) Bratz of Eau Claire; two sons, Ewald
and Arthur Schlinsog of Granton; two brothers, Ferdinand Gotter of Loyal and
Arno Gotter of Granton; and by two sisters, Mrs. Lenora Schuelke of Cobb and
Mrs. William (Selma) Foote of Granton. Also surviving are seven grandchildren
and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Arvin Beil, Walter
Schlinsog, Arno Guk, Ceylon and Robert Gotter and Ruppert Christman.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Gilbertson Funeral Home.
