Funeral services for Wayne Frank Potter of Neillsville
were held Saturday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. W. C.
Koehler of the United Church of Christ officiated and burial was made in the
Neillsville City Cemetery. Mr. Potter died Thursday in Neillsville. He had been
a hospital patient since January 25.
He received his education in Clark
County schools, farmed and operated a grocery store for 20 years, retiring in
1950. His parents were the late Frank and Isabelle (Lyons) Potter. On September
22, 1947, he was married in Neillsville to Marian (Lynch) Vaughn.
He is
survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Marcia) Gault of Phoenix,
Ariz., and Mrs. Patrick (Jeanne) Clabin of Lancaster, Cal.; and by three
grandchildren.
He was a member of Moose Lodge, No. 1602, whose members
attended the service in a body.
“God Understands” was sung by Mrs. Robert
Peters accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.
Pallbearers were: Robert and
Norman Lynch, P. C. Ludovic, Clarence Bardell; William Schwellenbach and Jess
Scott.
People from out of town here for the service included: Mrs.
Patrick Clabin of Lancaster, Cal.; Mr. and Mrs. Vern Davis of Williams Bay; Mr.
and Mrs. Tom Anderson of Twin Lakes; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Gustman of Kalkaska,
Mich.; Mrs. Joe Pietrek, Sr., of Arcadia; Mrs. D. A. Marsolek of Independence;
Joe Pietrek, Jr., of Madison; Mrs. Alfred Ebert and Carol Ebert of Black River
Falls.
