News is
scarce. Everybody is on the land, seeding.
Mrs. Arthur Happe entertained
the Aid Wednesday afternoon, May 2nd.
Adolph Foemmel has a new car. They
were out joy riding in it Sunday afternoon.
The Gideons gave a basket
social at the bachelors hall on the old Jordan place Tuesday evening, May 1st.
Proceeds were $22.50. Be careful next time when wrapping up your baskets with
newspapers, to take the label off first, as there were spies around.

Happe sawed wood for Ernest Sanger Saturday and Monday for Schimdtke’s and Bill
Smith’s.
Monday some of the school children saw a bear and two cubs just
north of the schoolhouse in the woods.
Mother’s Day will be observed
Friday at the school by a program.
Miss Jennie Ackerman ate supper with
Carl Happe’s Tuesday and spent the evening.
Bernice and Hallie Downer
went to Ladysmith and intend to stay indefinitely.
