Before an
alter decorated with white gladioli and chrysanthemums, Miss Alice Marie Staver
became the bride of Larry Leland Cook during a 1:30 o’clock ceremony held on
Saturday in the Methodist Church, with the Rev. Paul Doering officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Leo C. Staver, S. Central Ave.,
Marshfield and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cook, route 1, Loyal.
The bride was
given in marriage by her father. She chose a floor length gown of lace over
nylon net styled by long sleeves and a square neckline trimmed with rhinestones
and sequins. Her bouquet was red roses and stephanotis.
Miss Noelda
Foelske sang “The Lord’s Prayer” and “I Love You Truly”, and was accompanied by
Mrs. Byron Zepplin.
Mrs. Roy Cook of Marshfield was matron of honor and
Miss Elaine Staver of Marshfield was bridesmaid. They wore Nile green frocks of
lace over nylon net in a floor length and small crowns of pearls. They carried
bouquet of matching carnations.
The best man was Roy Cook and groomsman
was Lee Cook. The ushers were Melvin Staver and Dennis Cook.
Following
the ceremony, the couple greeted their friends and relatives at a reception and
supper at the Paris Ave. Nite Club. A dance was held at Fahey’s Hall in
Rozellville. The bride is a graduate of Marshfield Senior High SAchool and is
employed in Milwaukee. Her husband graduated from the Loyal High School and is
employed by American Motors Corporation in Milwaukee. After a wedding trip to
Minnesota the couple will make their home at 1312B, S. 38th St., Milwaukee.
