Guetschow, William (6 June 1881 - 23 February 1967)
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Gilbertson Funeral Home in
Granton for William Guetschow, 85, who died Thursday in the Wolff Nursing Home
in Arpin, where he had been a resident for the last four years. The Rev. L. L.
McCormick of chili officiated. Burial was made in Windfall Cemetery.
Mr.
Guetschow was born June 6, 19881, in Manitowoc County. His marriage to the
former Florence Converse took place December 4, 1923. She died in 1928. Mr.
Guetschow, who was a veteran of World War I, had farmed in the Town of Sherman
until his retirement.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Lowell Schultz of
Spencer; a brother Herman Guetschow of Plymouth; and a granddaughter, Miss
Charlene Fischer of Wisconsin Rapids.
The American Legion of Spencer
conducted graveside rites.
Pallbearers were: Ed Gumz, A. E. Messar, Ray
Parrett, Julius Schroeder, Arthur Krohn and Robert Tolzman.
Mrs. William
Schmidtke and Mrs. Van L. Kayser were the singers. They were accompanied by Mrs.
Lee Garbisch at the organ.
