Bloomfield, George H. (10 February 1917 - 23 February 1967)
George
H. Bloomfield, 50, of Greenwood, died Thursday in Neillsville. He had been
admitted to Memorial Hospital that day. Death was reported due to carcinoma.
Funeral services were held Monday from Grace Methodist Church. Burial was
made in the Loyal Cemetery. The Rev. Carl Booher officiated.
Mr.
Bloomfield was born February 10, 1917, at Strongs Prairie. He was married
January 29, 1944, in Madison to Angeline Kozik. She died September 27, 1947. He
moved to Loyal with his parents and lived there until 1965, when he moved to
Greenwood. He was employed by the Clark County Highway Department until ill
health forced him to retire.
Survivors include: two daughters, Sandra, at
home, and Joan of Madison; a son, John of Milwaukee; and a sister, Mrs. Freeman
Van Wie of Eagle River.
