Hickman, Dell M. (25 June 1884 - 27 February 1967)
Funeral services were
held this (Thursday) afternoon at two o’clock from the Methodist Church in
Humbird for Dell M. Hickman, 82, of Rt. 1 Humbird, who died Monday at his home.
The Ralph Walker will officiate and burial will be made in the Mentor Cemetery.
Mr. Hickman, who was born June 25, 1884, in Humbird, attended schools
there. His parents were the late Francis and Mary (Collins) Hickman. He worked
in lumbering camps in northern Wisconsin and later, for many years, farmed in
the Town of Mentor. He was known in the area for his large acreage of potatoes
and his love of hunting and fishing.
His only survivors are several
nieces and nephews residing in western states.
The Georgas Funeral Home
at Neillsville is in charge of arrangements.
