Young, William F. Jr. (22 JUN 1931 - 6 JUL 2012)

William F. Young Jr., age 81, of Colby, passed away Friday, July 6, 2012 at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield with his family by his side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colby at 11 AM. Father Daniel Hackel will officiate. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 9 AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will take place at a later date in Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Colby.

William was born June 22, 1931 to William and Evelyn (Carpenter) Young Sr. in Colby. He attended Saint Mary's grade school and Colby High School. William was united in marriage to Jacqueline Stangl on March 24, 1955 at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Marshfield. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. William was a truck driver for Packaging Corporation of America in Colby for 41 years until his retirement.

William was a member of St. Mary's Parish in Colby. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, playing cards, spending time on the pontoon and breakfast at Medo Farms with his buddies. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

William is survived by his wife; Jacqueline, his children: Sue (Mike) Gosse of Abbotsford, Bill (Sun) Young III of Appleton, Nancy (Bill) Koshak of Park Falls, Linda (Kurt) Rankl of Abbotsford, Lori (Buck) Michlig of Abbotsford, Mary (Al) Nixdorf of Abbotsford, Lisa (Abe) Richter of Peshtigo, 12 grandchildren,13 great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters; Marge Frane of Colby, Dorothy (Vernon) Baumgartner of Colby, Shirley Kops of Colby Louis (Joan) Young of Colby and Carol (Roger) Luzinski of Tomahawk.

William is preceded in death by his parents, brother; Richard Young, son; Thomas and daughter; Amy.
