Heiting, Anna (10 DEC 1882 - 13 JAN 1962)

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, Jan. 16 from St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Stanley for Mrs. Anna Heiting, 79, of 232 So. Broadway. Mrs. Heiting died Saturday at Victory Memorial Hospital.

The Rev. Fr. Edmund Cramer officiated at the 9 a.m. service. Pallbearers were Louis Horn, Andrew Schuebel, Wm. Gruber, Clayborne Jankoski, Wm. Pinter and Les Rademacher. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Mrs. Heiting was born Anna Gruber Dec. 10, 1882 in Austria, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs Mathew Gruber. She came to the United States with her parents in 1885. They moved to Stanley and she had lived here all her life.

She was married in 1901 to John Rademacher in Stanley. He died in 1918. In 1930 she was married to Theodore Heiting in Stanley.

Survivors include her husband, two sons, Frank Rademacher of Marshfield and Harold Rademacher of Jim Falls; one daughter, Alyce Rademacher of Madison; three sisters, Mrs. Nick Jankoski of Stanley, Mrs. M.B. Medes of Cloquet, Minn., and Mrs. John G. Bogumill of Thorp; seven step-children, John Heiting of Jump River, Wilfred Heiting of Hudson, Harold Heiting of Milwaukee, Mrs. Katherine Valk of Stanley, Sister M. Dolorita of La Crosse, Mrs. Jack Borowick, Thorp, and Mrs. Norton (Eleanor) Alteridege of Paulso, Wash.

Four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

Those who attended the funeral from Thorp were: Mr. and Mrs. John G. Bogumill, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Borowick and son Jim, Louie and Clara Gruszynski, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Smith, Mrs. Jake Smith, Mrs. Bauerenfiend, Mrs. Leon Bogumill, Mrs. Chas. Possley and Ann Koskoski.
