LaFlex, Harry (25 SEP 1891 - 23 DEC 1961)

Harry LaFlex, 70, Barnes, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 1961 at the Cloquet Community Hospital.

Mr. LaFlex was born at Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) Sept. 25, 1891 and spent his boyhood in that community. In 1916 he married Mildred McMahon at Withee, Wis. They moved to Cloquet, Minn. in 1921. In 1926 they moved to this community where Mr. LaFlex was engaged in logging. He retired from the Northwest Paper Co. in Cloquet in 1956 and moved to Barnes, Wis.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred; five daughters, Mrs. Viola Bjorklund, Mrs. Louis (Lorraine) Huard of Milwaukee, Wis., Mrs. Kenneth (Ethel) Poppe, Mrs. Wayne (Harriet) Ylikopsa, Mrs. Allen (Margaret) Jarve of Cloquet, Minn.; four sons, Robert of Barnes, George of Milwaukee, Francis and Eugene of Jardine, Mont.; six brothers, Edward of Thiensville, Wis., Louis of Menomonie, Leander of Waupaca, Frank of Gilman, Jesse, Owen, and Emil of Minneapolis, Minn.; 22 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. at the Barnes Town Hall on Wednesday, Dec. 27th with Rev. Herman Kossack officiating. Burial was in the Barnes Cemetery. The Iron River Funeral Home was in charge.

Pallbearers were K. Poppe, Wayne Ylikopsa, Allen Jarve and Ben Norton, Cloquet, Louis Huard, Milwaukee, Alfred Kaufman, Barnes.
