Junchen, Anna (27 September 1879 - 26 March 1967)

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Zion American Lutheran Church in the Town of Grant for Mrs. Anna Junchen, 87, of Menasha, formerly of the Neillsville area. The Rev. Evan Dieck officiated. Burial was made in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Junchen, who had come to spend Easer with her son, Harold, and his family, died Sunday at his home.

She was born September 27, 1879, in Jefferson County. As a young child her family moved into this area. She attended Neillsville schools. She later worked in various cities before returning to Neillsville. On November 25, 1908, she was married in Neillsville to the late Ernest Junchen, who died in 1948. They farmed in the Town of Washburn until 1942, when they moved to Granton. She had made her home with her daughter in Menasha since 1955.

Mrs. Junchen is survived by four children: Harold of Rt. 1 Neillsville; Lawrence of Sherrard, Ill.; Miss Elmira Junchen of Menasha; and Walter of Sioux Falls, S. D. Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. F. A. (Emma) Meyers of San Mateo, Cal.; a brother, Reinhold Pagenkojf of Sacramento, Cal.; and a grandchild.

She was a member of the Zion American Lutheran Church in Town of Grant.
