Dixon, Eva (17 OCT 1849 - 25 NOV 1914)

Mrs. Eva Dixon died last Wednesday at Wisconsin Veteran’s Home after a lengthy illness. The remains were brought here and interment was made in the Neillsville Cemetery, services being conducted at the Methodist Church Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Dixon was born Miss Eva Montgomery in Fulton County, Ohio, on Oct. 17, 1849. She was united in marriage to Samuel Dixon at Delta, Ohio, on December 1, 1867, and was left a widow in 1887. Mrs. Dixon was the mother of four children, two sons and two daughters, one of whom, Ernest, survives her.

Mrs. Dixon was a woman of many splendid characteristics for she was lovable, charitable and kindly in her demeanor to all. She was possessed of an admirable nature and one which won her many lifelong friends. She had been an resident of Neillsville for many years and was well known and universally loved and respected. She was a member of the W.R.C.
