Last Monday morning the
thermometer nearly reached the 20 degrees below zero mark.
Those who were
out to church last Sunday had the pleasure of hearing a fine temperance sermon.
We have been informed that taxes will be lower this year than last.
Miss Pearl Pease visited with Mrs. Jennie Fulwiler last Friday.
There
will be a Christmas tree in the M.E. Church on Christmas Eve. A program will be
rendered by the Sunday School.
John Lockner is assisting Fred Wright with
his farm work.
Merton Davis and Grant Turner have a job of cutting wood
for Wm. Benedict.
Several of the farmers from this vicinity delivered hay
to Granton the past week.
Miss Elsie Lastofka of South York spent last
week in the John Lastofka home.
A number from this point went to Granton
Monday with stock.
Miss Edith Learned, who is teaching in the town of
Lynn, spent Sunday at the Lawrence home.
