Dopp, Arvid (School Board
Candidate - 1967)
Mr. Dopp has been connected with the county extension
office in Clark County for seven years, and is the county agricultural agent for
Clark County. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University at
Platteville, and a master’s degree in extension education from the University of
Wisconsin.
Mr. Dopp taught high school agriculture and science for four
years before joining the extension service. His wife also is a teacher, as was
his mother. The Dopp’s have two sons, seven and 10, both of whom are enrolled in
the Neillsville Public School system.
In summarizing his interest in
becoming a school board member, Mr. Dopp said: "It is a job very few people want
to do, but one which has to be done. I feel that education is one of the biggest
businesses in our rural communities. There are few involvements that are as
essential as our educational system. I have a few ideas I think are pertinent to
the situation here and that should be investigated at least for possible
implementation."
