Mrs. Anna
Broda, 69 of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away at the Chippewa Falls Hospital
on Thursday, Feb. 15th, 1962 of natural causes.
The former Anna Kopeck
was born in Poland on Nov. 15, 1892. She was united in marriage to John Broda in
1919, who preceded her in death in Dec. 1946.
She resided in the Town of
Reseburg for many years on a farm.
Surviving her are three sons, John and
Edward Broda of Chicago, and Thomas Broda of Thorp, one brother, Stanley Kopeck
of Detroit, Mich., one sister, Mrs. Mary Hmielak of Thorp and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted by Father Masalewicz at the Thorp Funeral
Home Chapel on Monday, Feb. 19th and burial was made in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Peter Wnek, Frank Wnek, Eugene Kurzawski, Edmund Gregoszewski,
John Hmielak and Thomas Polnaszek.
Out of town persons attending the
funeral were Mike Brya of Minneapolis, Helen Krodl and son Frank of Green Bay,
Stanley Kopeck of Detroit, Mr. and Mrs. John Broda, Edward Broda, Mrs. Harry
Heller, Ed Bohoby, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Kurzowski, Ray Martin, Mrs. Florence
Wodarski and Esther Wilson of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Gregoszewski of
Chippewa Falls.
