Dobiesz, Frank (22 MAR 1887 - 19 FEB 1962)
Frank Dobiesz, 74 of the Town of Anson, Chippewa Co., Wis., died at the
hospital at Chippewa Falls of leukemia, on Saturday, Feb. 19, 1962. Mr. Dobiesz
was a former Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) man, having resided northwest of the city
in the Town of Thorp for many years, but moved to Milwaukee several years ago.
The deceased was born in Poland on March 22, 1887. He came to America as a
child and spent several years in Chicago before coming to this community, and
became engaged in farming.
He was united in marriage to Francis Klak of
Thorp at St. Hedwig’s Church on Sept. 18, 1912.
Besides his wife, he is
survived by three daughters, Sister Frances Regis, Green Bay, Wis., St.
Vincent’s Hospital, Frances, Mrs. Edward Rygiel, Eau Claire, Wis., Harriet, Mrs.
Bernard Smith, Grand Forks, N.D., one sister, Martha Dobiesz, Cadott, Wis.,
seven grandchildren and several cousins.
Funeral services were conducted
by Rev. Edward Masalewicz at St. Hedwig’s Church here at 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 21st,
and interment took place in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Peter
Tomkowiak, Frank Tomkowiak, Edward Wynimko, Edward Janetski, Stanley Rygiel and
Ignatz Przybylski.
