Schroeder, Jesse #2 (27
OCT 1896 - 18 FEB 1962)
Jesse Schroeder, 66, a driller of wells for water
in this community for many years, died at St. Joseph’s Chippewa Hospital on
Sunday, Feb. 18, 1962. He had been in ill health for the past year and lived
along in the Town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.)
The deceased was born in
Thorp, Wis. on Oct. 27, 1896 and spent all of his life in this community.
He was united in marriage to Wally Konczuk at Thorp, who preceded him in
death.
Surviving him are four daughters, Mary Schroeder of Madison, Wis.,
Ann of New Albany, Ind., Mrs. Beverly Lord, Corina, Calif., and Mrs. Martha
Friedel of Eau Claire; two sons, Theodore and August Schroeder of Chippewa
Falls, and one brother, Floyd Henning of Thorp.
He was a veteran of World
War I and funeral services were conducted by Cecil Tormey Post No. 118 of the
American Legion at the Thorp Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 o’clock Wednesday
afternoon, Feb. 21st, and interment followed in the East Thorp Cemetery with
military rites and salute by the firing squad. American Legion members served as
pallbearers.
