Boldt, Martha (10 October 1885 - 12 April 1967)

Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10:30 a.m. from St. Mary’s Catholic Church for Mrs. John Boldt, 81, of Rt. 3, Neillsville, who died April 12, in Neillsville. The Rev. George M. Nelson officiated. Burial was made in Greenwood cemetery in Nekoosa.

Mrs. Boldt, the former Martha Kransky, was born October 10, 1885, in Joliet, Ill. She came to Wisconsin as a young girl and worked as a waitress. On February 23, 1901, she was married to John Boldt in Chicago, Ill. They farmed in Indiana, coming to Wisconsin in 1927. Mr. Boldt died in 1965.

Mrs. Boldt was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and its St. Helen’s Circle P.C.C.W.

A P.C.C.W. rosary service was said Sunday afternoon at the Georgas Funeral Home. Sunday evening a general rosary service was said.

She is survived by three children: Mrs. Ed (Marie) Meier of Neillsville, John Boldt, Jr., of Rt. 3, Neillsville, and Mrs. Ed (Florence) Hainz of Rt. 1 Neillsville. Also surviving are three sisters, Mary Zolesky and Stella Kransky, both of Milwaukee, and Anna Pisula of Nekoosa; two brothers, Walter Kransky of Mountain View, Cal., and Frank Kransky of Chicago, Ill.; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Ted Schulist, Henry Langreck, Martin Feuerstein, William Schwellenbach, Don Champoux and Tony Erpenbach.

Out of town people here for the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Richard Glinski of Stratford; Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Becker and family of Kenosha; and Mr. and Mrs. Greg Tomac of Eau Claire.
