Kintzele, John (Fire scare - 13 MAY 1917)
While starting his big Overland car on his farm north of here (Granton,
Clark Co., Wis.) for the first time this season last Sunday morning, John
Kintzele did not discover a short circuit or disconnected live wire in his
batteries, and leaving the car her went to the shed for gasoline, when upon his
return a few minutes later he found the car in flames. A fire extinguisher
hastily applied readily subdued the flames before the gasoline tank exploded or
the car was burned beyond repair.
