Greenwood (20 April 1967)

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lunka returned home last Sunday after 28 days of vacationing. They toured Mexico, Florida, Texas and other southern states. They also visited with a Willard couple, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Morgal, who are residing in Houston, Texas.

Bernard Walker has returned home from a hospital in Eau Claire following surgery last Thursday.

Mrs. William Bayuk is a patient at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.

Miss Eunice Klapatauskas and Jim Doepke of Milwaukee were weekend guests at the Julius Klapatauskas home.

Mrs. Edward Pekol and family attended the funeral of a relative in Lemont, Ill., last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Marincic left Tuesday for Waukegan, Ill., where they were joined by Mr. and Mrs. Louis Koschak on a trip to Florida.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Barr spent a few days visiting their son, Larry, at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.

Kenneth Howard, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Kitzhaber was baptized Sunday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Rev. Aloysius Baumann officiated. Sponsors were Mr. and Mrs. Mike Klapatauskas, Willard. Dinner guests at the Kitzhaber home were the sponsors and Donna and Diane Klapatauskas and Mrs. L. A. Kitzhaber. Afternoon and supper guests included Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Kitzhaber and family of Mosinee.

One of the projects of the Willard 4-H club is a girl’s singing group, Sarah Craig, Arlene Debevec, Debbie Craig and Donna Volovsek, accompanied by Ruth Krainz on the accordion. They sang in the competition at Greenwood recently and won second place. Their selections were “Home on the Range” and “Where Has My Little Dog Gone?” Recently the group sang in Neillsville for the Production Credit Association. They also won another second place which entitled them to a $20 prize.

Mr. and Mrs. Francis Hansen were in Eau Claire one day to visit Bernard Walker who was a hospital patient there.

Harold Walker also has been a patient at a hospital in Eau Claire.
