Meyer, Mathew M. (24 SEP 1883 - 19 APR 1962)
Math M. Meyer, 78, of 118 Brooklyn St., Chilton, Wis., passed away at the
Calumet Memorial Hospital of a heart attack on Thursday, April 19, 1962.
He was born Sept. 24, 1883 in the Town of Rhine, Sheboygan County. He operated a
cheese factory southwest of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) in the Town of Worden for a
number of years in earlier days and in 1922 moved to Chilton where he was a
clothing and insurance salesman.
He married Mamie Boll in Charlestown
Jan. 20, 1913.
Surviving are his wife, a son, Earl, Madison; a daughter,
Mrs. Alvin (Irene) Seegers, Wauwatosa; a sister, Mrs. Lena Turban, Plymouth; and
eight grandchildren. A daughter, Dorothy, two brothers and five sisters preceded
him in death.
Funeral services were held on Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic
Church, Rev. Henry Schmitt officiating, and burial was made in the parish
cemetery.
Six nephews were pallbearers, Ervin Gregiore of Chicago, Arnold
Turban, Plymouth, Hugo Stemper of New Holstein, Vincent Reinkober, Harry Martin
Jr. and Eugene Boll of Chilton.
