Willard (4 May 1967)

Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Lesar and family have moved to Eau Claire, where he is employed.

The Willard Homemakers met Thursday, April 27, at the Mrs. Thurman Craig home. Mrs. Mary Koschak presented the health talk.

Some oats seeding has been done, but very little, due to the cold and wet fields.

Arnold Hoppa, Dave Hoppa, Frank Pozega and Gale Lanning were in Ashland for a few days.

Mrs. Rudy Volk and Mrs. Edward Pekol have returned from Milwaukee, where they visited relatives and friends.

Miss Mary Jane Gregorich, who spent last week here, has returned to Milwaukee.

Mrs. mary Brezic has returned home last week after spending several weeks in Sheboygan with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gorenc.

Allen Lamovec of Eau Claire spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lamovec.

Dave Volovsek of Milwaukee spent some time here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Volovsek.

Mrs. Sylvia Kokaly of Stevens Point spent the weekend with her mother, Mrs. Hannah Kokaly.

Mrs. Vera Ver Hagen and daughter, Cheryl, of lake Villa, Ill., were weekend guests of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Kitzhaber. Guests Sunday included Mr. and Mrs. Harold Steltenpohl and daughters of Wisconsin Rapids.

Sunday, Mrs. L. A. Kitzhaber accompanied Mrs. Ver Hagen to Illinois, where she will visit relatives.

Our Lady of Fatima Council, of Knights of Columbus, met Tuesday at St. Mary’s Hall in Neillsville.

The Queen of Peace Council, of Knights of Columbus, met Thursday at the American Legion Hall in Thorp. This council also had a corporate communion at St. Bernard’s Church in Thorp at the 8 a.m. mass Sunday.
