Guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Buchholz, who entertained in honor of the confirmation of their son, Michael, Saturday evening in St. John’s Lutheran Church in Christie, were: Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Spaete and family of Belvidere, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Leland Appleyard and family of Sparta; Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Mueller and family of Muskego; Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Smith and family of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Buchholz and family; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Kroll of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Kroll of Rothschild; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Buchholz; Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Kroll and Kevin of Mineral Point; and Mr. and Mrs. Allen Gutenberger.

Mrs. Orpha Grantham, who spent the winter in Benson, Ariz., with her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Thompson, arrived last week to spend the summer with her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wilson.

Mr. and Mrs. Allan Trichie and family of Prior Lake, Minn., were weekend guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wilson.

Mrs. Herbert Bardeleben of Neillsville, and Mrs. James Cummings and Barbara and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Cummings of Alma Center, attended the Williams-Bardeleben wedding in Beloit Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Marg of Pine Valley stayed with Herb Bardeleben while Mrs. Bardeleben attended the wedding of her grandson, Richard Lee Bardeleben, in Beloit, Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Georgas are attending the Minnesota funeral directors convention being held this week in Minneapolis.

Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Lavene entertained relatives Sunday at the home of their daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Bender, in rural Loyal in honor of their son, Gary, who was confirmed Saturday evening. Their guests included: Mrs. Amelia Winkleman, Mrs. Hattie Forman, Mrs. Minnie Greeler, Erwin Greeler, Mrs. Raymond Zipfel and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Lavine and Mrs. Harold Mayer and family of Neillsville, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Drescher, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Tyler and family of Granton, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Pachal and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pachal and family of Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bender of Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Goutcher of Spencer, Milton Pachal and Rita Stumpner of Wausau.

The Past matrons club of the Order of the Eastern Star met Wednesday evening in the Masonic Temple. The meeting began with a 6:30 potluck supper. Hostesses were Nancy Tresemer, Ruth Dern, and Alta Allen. Birthdays of the month were observed.

Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Allen and Mrs. Gerelda Larsen were dinner guests Sunday at the Bradley Larsen home in Marshfield. They all attended church services at the First Presbyterian Church, where Jeff Larsen, was a member of the confirmation class.

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Taylor, who spent the winter in California, arrived last week Wednesday for a few days visit with their daughter, Mrs. Norman Saracoff, and family before leaving for their home in Rib Lake. Sunday, Dist. Atty. and Mrs. Saracoff and family visited relatives in Rib Lake.

Dr. and Mrs. E. H. Brekke and family spent Sunday in Stevens Point with relatives.

Judge and Mrs. Lowell D. Schoengarth and Mr. and Mrs. John Ringstad drove to Wausau Sunday, taking six girls from the Youth Fellowship of the United Church to attend a district Youth Fellowship rally.

Roy Haugen of Georgia has been spending a few days with his mother, Mrs. Haugen, and his sister, Mrs. Hallie Horswill. Mrs. and Mrs. Tim Parrett of Mercer also were guests. Mr. and Mrs. Parrett visited his sisters, Miss Gladys Parrett and Mrs. Clarence Bardell.

Ed Solleder of Park Falls was a recent guest of Marie Keller.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rasch of Wilmette, Ill., have been spending the past week with her sister, Mrs. Herman Lenzkow, and niece, Mrs. Dorothy Dux. They left Tuesday for home, accompanied by Mrs. Lenzkow, who plans to spend several days there.
