Albert J. (? - 28 April 1967)
Albert J. Van Kirk, 72, of the Osseo
Nursing Home and a former Humbird resident, died at the Osseo Hospital, April
28, 1967. Funeral services were conducted from St. John’s United Church of
Christ in Humbird May 2, the Rev. Jack Grether of Neillsville officiating.
Military rites were held by the Humbird American Legion post. Interment was made
in Mentor Cemetery. A luncheon was served by the Women‘s Guild for relatives and
friends.
Surviving are, his wife, Clara; three sons, Warren and Dewitt
of Humbird, and Calvin of Janesville; five daughters, Mrs. Viola Hause of
Neillsville, Mrs. William Johnson of Fontana, Mrs. Dale Huebner of Humbird, Mrs.
Barbara Sweinhart of Alburtis, Pa., and Mrs. James Christen, Chippewa Falls; a
sister, Mrs. Frank Reuchdeim of Green Bay; and three brothers, Lloyd of Shawano,
Vernon of Mukwonago and Earl in Wyoming. Several grandchildren, nephew and
nieces also survive.
Those from away attending were, Mrs. Harvey Melcher
and family and Mrs. Harvey Wenegan of La Crosse; Mr. and Mrs. John Wein and
daughter, of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Van Kirk, Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Van
Kirk and Mrs. Archie Van Kirk of Sparta; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Anderson of
Waunakee; Mr. and Mrs. Earl De Long of Owen; Mrs. Jake Fitzmaurice and the
Seguin family of Alma Center; Kurt Marg of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Clem Trader
of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Stanek of Wonewoc; Mr. and Mrs. Silas
Calkins and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Calkins of Janesville.
