Grambsch, Robert
(Scholarship - 1967)
Robert Grambsch of Loyal has faced an unusual
choice.
The Loyal High School senior has earned two service scholarships,
and had to make a selection between them. He finally picked: a naval reserve
officers training scholarship to the University of Wisconsin, which he will
enter in the fall.
Grambsch thought long and hard before turning down a
four-year scholarship to the United States Coast Guard academy at New London,
Conn., in favor of the naval training scholarship.
Both scholarships were
offered on the basis of scholarship ability, and in both cases less than 10
percent of the applicants qualify.
On the successful completion of his
regular navy ROTC four-year college, Grambsch will be commissioned an Ensign in
the navy.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Grambsch of Loyal.
