John
Rollins had the misfortune to lose one of his nice big hroses Sunday.
Sunday was another fishing day, such as it was. A party in three autoes went to
Maplehurst, Taylor Co., consisting of John Rollins, Earl Drake, Walter Drake, A.
Harding, Al Christenson and family, Fred Dankemyer and family. The fish were
easily carried, although some had better luck than others. All those parties
called on Nate Drake.
Mr. Russalo, formerly of Colby, moved into Mrs.
Helen Field’s house last week.
Grandma Dankemyer has been visiting at
Mrs. Hotchkiss’ several days last week.
John says a spilling can of
cylinder oil and an auto are hard to keep out of the ditch.
Claire Davis
came home from Neillsville Friday evening where he attended high school.
Miss Jennie Eibergen and Hannah Dankemyer and Rob Weiling of Spokeville autoed
to Osborne to take in the wedding dance there. Alright girls, we don’t blame
you, your time is coming.
Herman Ketel is building a house on the Geo.
Ley farm, so when complete, Herman will want a housekeeper. Now don’t all apply
at once girls.
Chas. Wilham expects to move to Spencer by June 4 on his
new farm.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dankemyer called at Anton Hornick’s folks
Tuesday night of this week.
