Mrs. Clemens Kuechenmeister, her mother and Mrs. Otis Slocomb autoed down and
attended a quilting at Mrs. Robert Kurth’s on Wednesday.
Miss Isabelle
Slocomb is home from Flandreau, S.D., since yesterday.
Leonard Scholtz,
the 7-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Scholtz, is very ill with pneumonia.
Miss Fern Williams closed school with a picnic on the mound last Friday.
Will Kurth and Mrs. Geo. Wilding went to Milwaukee Wednesday to attend the
funeral of an aunt.
Ed Huckstead bought a home in Neillsville of Fernando
Wage on the south side, between the Stange and Stockwell residences.
Mrs.
Blackman is ill with pleurisy and Mrs. John Vine is assisting in her care.
O.E. Counsell bought several head of Shorthorn cattle at St. Paul last week.
Fred Schwantes sold his cheese factory and creamery here to Mr. Fischer of
Loyal, taking in exchange some property at Loyal, whither he moved on Wednesday.
Richard Kurth went to Milwaukee Wednesday to attend the funeral of Mrs.
Christine Kurth, his maternal aunt.
Richard Braatz’s 70th birthday was
the occasion of a very pleasant surprise on his Tuesday evening, when his
children, with their families and neighbors gave him a fine party.
