Washburn (1 June 1967)

Mrs. Elmer Kapfer was called to Beloit Friday by the serious illness of her sister, Mrs. Jess Schultz, who is now a patient in a Monroe hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter E. Bell of Janesville arrived Saturday to visit her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Short, until after Memorial Day, and to attend the open house honoring Mr. and Mrs. George Allbaugh.

Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Williams and Marvin drove to Chippewa Falls Sunday after his mother, Mrs. Art Williams, at the Albert Zank cottage. Mrs. Williams spent the winter with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Zank, at their home in Cedar Falls, Ia.

Mr. and Mrs. Glen Swanson and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Urban of Milwaukee, called Saturday at the Jack Urban home. They spent the weekend and over Memorial Day camping at Hatfield.

Lawrence Kyle returned home Saturday after spending two weeks at Camp McCoy with the reserves.
