Hagedorn, Diane Louise (Marriage - 10 June 1967)
Miss Diane Louise Hagedorn became the bride of Robert Edward Murphy Saturday in
a nuptial ceremony performed by the Rev. David Witte in Immanuel Lutheran
Church, Globe.
The congregation sang, “O Blessed Home Where Man and
Wife,” accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Alice Wegner.
Vases of baby’s
breath and white chrysanthemums graced either side of the altar as the bride
entered the church with her father.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and
Mrs. Louis Hagedorn of rural Neillsville and Mrs. Marian Hunter of West Palm
Beach, Fla.
The bride wore a dress of satin brocade with matching coat. A
headpiece of Swiss braids rosettes held her short veil. She carried a bouquet of
apricot roses, stephanotis and baby’s breath.
Miss Lois Hagedorn was her
sister’s maid of honor, and Mrs. David McDonald was the bridesmaid. They were
seen in apricot suits of rayon ripple crepe, with headpieces of apricot veiled
pillboxes. They carried bouquets of white gladioli petals and Lily-of-the
valley.
Robert Struensee of Neillsville was bestman. Groomsman was David
McDonald. Ushers were John and Jerold Hagedorn.
Wedding day events
included a reception at the home of the bride’s parents, a 4:30 dinner at
Wildcat Inn and a dance in the evening in the Weston Hall.
The bride has
been employed in Loyal and the groom is employed in construction work.
Mr. and Mrs. Murphy are making their home at 215 State Street, in Neillsville.
