Given in marriage by her father, Miss Brenda Mae Luzinski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Luzinski, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) became the bride of Fred Turenne, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Turenne of Thorp, on Saturday, June 2, 1962 in a double ring ceremony at 10:30 Mass, performed by Father Brockman at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thorp.

The bride was attired in a floor length bridal gown of Chantilly lace and nylon tulle. The molded lace bodice styled with a scoop neckline gleaming with iridescent sequins and long sleeves tapering to points over the wrists. The bouffant skirt of nylon tulle feathered a lace peplum also embroidered with sequins. Her veil was of English silk illusion which was secured to a crown of Aurora crystals and pearls. She carried a cascade designed bouquet of white stephanotis and red sweetheart roses.

Preceding the bride to the altar was Miss Mary Jaskot, miniature bride. She was dress and carried a bouquet very similar to the bride.

Miss Sally Slota, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor. She was attired in a sleeveless street length silk organza dress with frocks of peach over maize taffeta that was designed with a draped neckline. She wore a matching crown designed with pearls and a pearl necklace, which was a gift from the bride. Her colonial bouquet was of white and yellow carnations accented with feathered peach carnations.

Miss Joanne Bautch, Milwaukee, Miss Ruth Schliefe, Milwaukee, Miss Violet Kaplia, Marshfield, friends of the bride, and Mrs. David Luzinski of South Milwaukee, sister-in-law of the bride, were the bridesmaids. They wore dresses with frocks of aqua over maize designed like the maid of honor’s dress with matching crowns. Their bouquets were accented with feathered aqua carnations.

Clarence Turenne, brother of the groom, was best man. The groomsmen were Jerry Luzinski, Milwaukee, David Luzinski, South Milwaukee, brothers of the bride, and Phillip Turenne, brother of the groom. They wore matching boutonnieres of the girls’ dresses.

Richard Luzinski was ring bearer, brother of the bride. The ushers were Richard Lobacz, Withee, and Wayne Johnson of South Milwaukee.

Mrs. Luzinski witnessed her daughter’s wedding wearing a yellow lace dress over taffeta with white accessories. Mrs. Turenne, mother of the groom, wore a green flowered dress with white accessories. They both wore a corsage of white carnations and red tea roses.

A breakfast was served at 12:00 p.m. at the P.N.A. Hall in Thorp. The dinner was served at 6:00 p.m. and music was furnished by the Golden Tones for the evening.

Following a trip to Canada and upper Michigan, the couple will make their home in Thorp, where the groom operates the Mile-a-way Bar. The bride is a graduate of the Professional Business Institute of Minneapolis, is a dental assistant for Dr. B.R. Slota in Thorp. They both attended Thorp High School.
