Fernando Johnson is taken an
enforced rest, having hurt his foot quite badly in loading logs one day last
week.
Mrs. Frank Gardner is ill with
the measles. Some of the children
have the same disease and some are just recovering.
Frank himself being the only one of the family who had had them before.
Clifford Winn and family visited
at Elmer Dennis’s Sunday.
Mrs. Amelia Davis had wood
sawyers Tuesday.
A baby daughter came to gladden
the home of Ed. Coil last Tuesday.
Mother and baby are doing fine.
Neal Downer and family ate turkey
dinner at Jim Baker’s Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Free Converse
returned from a several months visit with their daughter at Terre Haute, Ind.,
last Monday.
Little Ermo Yankee is on the sick
list this week.
Mrs. Hugh Berg, Mrs. C. Fenske
and Miss Anetta Berg, called on Miss Marion Smith Sunday afternoon.
Mrs. Robert Kurth visited Sunday
afternoon with Mrs. F. Johnson. The
ladies were school mates and greatly enjoyed talking over old times.
Hugh Converse and Frances Smith
were callers at Chas. Brooks’ Sunday afternoon.
Frances Smith stayed with Elsie
Johnson Tuesday night.
The new Birthday Club met with
Mrs. Ernest Lee on Tuesday to help Mrs. Dale Lee celebrate her 26th
birthday. Each member brought a
quilt block and many hands soon completed a nice quilt.
All enjoyed the good dinner and good time, and plans were made for more
of both soon.
Marion Smith returned to her
duties at Trinity Hospital, Milwaukee, Sunday night.
E.R. Wonser purchased cattle of
Lue Smith and the Jahr Boys Tuesday.
Little Elmer Johnson is very sick this week, with abscess in both ears. Dr. Ross is attending him.
