Last Weeks Items-
Because the fine weather
continues is no reason that we should not enjoy it to our fullest capacity.
Mrs. Neimyer who has been living
with her sister Mrs. Painton east of town went to Iowa last Friday, being
accompanied by her nephew who came for her Wednesday of last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Hegge who are from
Drake, N.D. went Friday last to visit friends at Cashton and Westby be fore
returning home.
Rev. Pekam filled his appointment
at Lindsey Sunday morning and evening.
At the close of Sunday school the officers were elected as follows: W.C.
Washburn, Superintendent, H. White, Asst. Supt., Addie Angle, Sec., Rollen
Washburn, Treas., and Agnes White Organist.
Mrs. P.J. Tilton returned on
Monday’s train from her trip to visit with friends at Sparta and Viroqua.
Warren Robinson came home on the
Monday from his high school at Grand Rapids, and Mabel Broker, Geneva and
Leonard White came Friday from Marshfield.
Miss Helen Sager who is teaching
the Lindsey School went to her home at Stevens Point Wednesday for the holidays.
Miss Addie Angle and her school
in the Paintown District had a fine program last Friday evening and her school
is closed for the holiday vacation.
Dos Angel moved his family on a
farm near Chili Monday. The children
will be missed from the Sunday school.
Miss Helen Sager had the Lindsey
School render a fine program Tuesday evening in the hall.
She had a beautifully trimmed Christmas tree and the hall otherwise
beautiful decorated appropriate to the season.
The songs, recitations, dialogues, and marches were all splendidly
rendered and the whole program evidenced much labor and pains in preparation and
rehearsal, while the rendition was received with great satisfaction by a large
and appreciative audience.
Ed Hahm who has been out west
since last spring came home Thursday of last week.
