Mrs. Peterson of
Duluth and her little boy returned to her home Monday of last week, after
spending a bout two weeks with her mother, Mrs. Eschenberg, who is very ill and
is in the care of her daughter Mrs. Otto Schroeder of this place.
Mike
Kelner has recently begun his duties as second man in Cannonville Cheese
Factory.
The school picnic had to be postponed from Monday until
Wednesday on account of bad weather.
Mrs. Robert Machel is visiting her
brother Dan Wallace at Globe.
The discussion between the Disciple and
Seven Day Adventists will begin June 3rd at the Union Church. Rev. Mallory and
Elder Westare will be the speakers.
Mrs. Campbell of Viola and Mrs.
Buford Griffin of Granton are visiting their daughter and sister, Mrs. Leck
Furgeson.
Miss Essie Bender, who has employment in the Richland Center
Condensary, came home Sunday for a week’s visit.

Services were held in the Union Church Saturday and Sunday evenings.
The picnic Saturday given by Miss Ruth Crockett and pupils of Irene was well
attended despite the rain.
The assessor is seen on our streets daily at
present.
Great plans are being made for very patriotic Decoration day
excercies.
The “Mock Trial” will be given at the town hall Tuesday night,
May 29.
Mr. and Mrs. Austin Toptine and two boys are visiting relatives
and friends in this vicinity. They autoed through from their home in Montana.
Mrs. Eschenberg is still very ill.
