Wanda M. Schwarze, 77, Spencer, died on Thursday, June 14,
2012, at Golden Living Center-Continental Manor, Abbotsford. Funeral services
were held at 11 a.m., on Monday, June 18, at Immanuel United Church of Christ,
rural Greenwood. Rev. Mark Schwinn officiated. Burial followed in the church
cemetery. Pallbearers were Rick mSchwarze, Jeff Schwarze, Mary Kay Francel,
Karen Fuesz, Larry Pakiz and John Francel.
Wanda M. francel was born on
July 25, 1934, in Marshfield, the daughter of Frank and Frances (nee Tomsich)
Francel. As a young girl, her family moved to Marshfield, where she was raised
and received her education, graduating from Columbus High School in 1952. Wanda
then moved to Milwaukee where she held various jobs over the next several years.
She married Orville Schwarze on Feb. 27, 1960, at St. Rose rectory in Milwaukee.
They moved to Westby for a few months and then to Waukon, Iowa, where she worked
as a secretary for a law firm. In July 1963, they moved to Spencer, where she
worked as a secretary for Pathfinder Homes. She was a member of Immanuel United
Church of Christ and the Spencer Garden Club. She had many interests, but
especially loved reading, crafts, music and decorating for the holidays.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Orville, Spencer; one brother, Arthur
(Carole) Francel, Stevens Point; three sisters, Jan (Jack) McHugh, Glendale,
Bette (Kent Johnson) Francel, Bloomington, Minn., and Eileen (Larry) Anderson,
Eden Prairie, Minn.; one sister-in-law, Kay Francel, Mount Prospect, Ill.; and
numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was
preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James Francel.
