Native Of County Dies
Wednesday
Fred Laack, one of the early settlers of Sheboygan county, died
at the home of his son, Oscar, at Dorchester in Clark county on Wednesday
evening, according to word received on Thursday by his relatives in this county.
At the age of 12 years, he and his sister, now Mrs. Fred Jurss,
Plymouth, came to Sheboygan county from Germany. He was married to Miss Rosa
Diestelhorst, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Diestelhorst, who lived near
Johnsonville.
After residing on a farm near Plymouth for four years, the
couple left for Dorchester, Clark county. Mrs. Laack passed away in Dorchester
twenty years ago. For the past few years, Mr. Laack has lived with his son
Oscar.
Survivors include his son, Oscar, two granddaughters, two
sisters, Mrs. Fred Jurss, Plymouth, Mrs. August Korb, Franklin, and many
relatives n this county.
Funeral services will be held at Dorchester on
Saturday afternoon. The following relatives plan to attend and will leave either
today or tomorrow morning. Charles Diestelhorst, Mrs. Fred Jurss, Plymouth;
Alvin Diestelhorst, Mrs. Henry Gessert Sr. and son, Henry Jr., Sheboygan; Mrs.
August Korb, Franklin,
