Tichy, Gladys Lillian (Ingersoll) (5 JAN 1920 - 17 JUL 2012)
Gladys Lillian Tichy, age 92, longtime resident of Hibbing went to meet her
Savior, Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Aspen Grove in Hibbing.
She was born
January 5, 1920, in Abbotsford, the daughter of Kenneth and Edith (Dombrovi)
Ingersoll.
Gladys was a graduate of Abbotsford High School. She was
united in marriage April 14, 1943, to Orville Tichy in St. Paul, MN.
Gladys was employed as an inhalation therapist and also in Central Supply at
Hibbing General Hospital for more than 30 years. She was a member of First
Baptist Church in Hibbing and the Eastern Star. She loved crocheting and
canning.
Gladys is survived by two daughters; a son; nine grandchildren;
numerous great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; four brothers, Marvin
Ingersoll, Adams; Kenneth (Dixie) Ingersoll, Colby; Harold Ingersoll; and Neil
(Carol) Ingersoll, Racine.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her
husband, Orville; two sisters; two brothers; and a grand-daughter.
The
funeral service was held July 23, in the 1st Baptist Church in Hibbing. Pastor
Greg Stevens presided. Interment was at the Hibbing Park (Maple Hill) Cemetery.
