Drew, Glen Franklin (22 January 1903 - 18 June 1967)
Glen Franklin Drew, 64, Greenwood, died Sunday at Memorial Hospital in
Neillsville, where he had been admitted following a heart attack June 12.
Funeral services were held Wednesday 1 p.m. from Grace Methodist Church in
Greenwood. Masonic services were held Tuesday at the Hill Funeral Home. Burial
was made in the cemetery at Simco. The Rev. Carl Booher officiated.
Mr.
Drew was born January 22, 1903, at Simco. He was the son of Fred and Rebecca
(Law) Drew. He came to Greenwood with his parents in 1915 and was graduated from
Greenwood High School in 1919. He was united in marriage June 30, 1927, to Nina
E. West. Mr. Drew was a farmer in the area for many years, and worked for the
United States Civil Service commission from 1952 until 1965.
He was a
member and trustee of Grace Methodist Church. He was also a member of the
Greenwood Masonic Lodge, no. 249, a 32nd degree Mason of the Eau Claire
Consistory, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, and a member of Zor Temple,
A.A.O.M.M.S. of Madison. He was an assistant patron of Greenwood chapter No. 137
Order of the Eastern Star.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters,
Mrs. Carl (Gladys) Ackermann, presently in Greenwood enroute to Germany, where
her husband will be stationed; and Mrs. Carol Ligon of Greenwood. He is also
survived by two sons, Ronald F. of Hales Corners, and Danny F. of Milwaukee.
There are seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd (Gladys) Barnard of
Anaheim, Calif., and Mrs. R. Elton (Susie) Dillion of Pelican Rapids, Minn.; and
a brother Donald Drew of Viroqua.
