Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Davis and son Elton returned Wednesday
from their trip to California.
Mr. and Mrs. N.E. Lee are nicely settled
in their new summer home.
Wayne Waterman, who has been engaged on the
farm of Ernest Lee the past week, joined the militia and went to Neillsville
Monday for examination.
Mr. Whiston Davis suffered a stroke of paralysis
last week Thursday and gradually failing died Wednesday morning.
Solon
Davis and wife spent Friday with Whiston Davis in the Gordon Davis home.
Mrs. John Van Domlin has been suffering with rheumatism for some time past.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lindow spent Monday afternoon at the W.R. Happe home.
Mr. bush Davis of Loyal spent last Tuesday at Gordon Davis.
Miss
Jennie Ackerman closed a successful term of school Thursday of last week with a
picnic in the schoolhouse. She was presented with a beautiful ring by her pupils
as a token of appreciation for work in the district the past three years. It is
with regret we learn that Miss Ackerman is is not to return next year.
Mr. and Mrs. L. Verkuilen called on the Van Domlin family Sunday evening.
Several in this vicinity have been suffering with stomach trouble the past week.
Sort of an epidemic seems to have been visiting our neighborhood.
Mr.
Happe was out buying stock Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Bertie Todd spent Tuesday
with Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Fields.
Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Lee and son Wenzel
went to Neillsville Wednesday.
Mr. Whiston Davis died Wednesday morning,
June 6th at the home of his son Grodon.
