George Meddaugh of
Iron Ridge and Alvick Meddaugh of Bancroft spent the weekend with their sister,
Mrs. Harry Kissling, and brother, Neil Meddaugh, and family.
Mr. and
Mrs. Jack McNeil and sons of Elgin, Ill., and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Havlicek Sr., returned home last week Thursday evening from a 10-day trip to
Houston, Tex., New Mexico and Colorado. Mr. and Mrs. McNeil and sons returned
home Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kapfer attended a fellowship dinner at
the Granton Methodist Church Sunday noon in honor of their new minister, the
Rev. Dushek, and family.
Mrs. Ell (Skip) Lee of Milwaukee returned home
Monday after spending a week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kissling, and
brother, Ernest Kissling, and family. Dr. Lee, who is with the reserved at Camp
McCoy for a couple of weeks, spent the weekend at the Kissling home, also.
Quite a large group of youngsters and several adults attended the Bunco and
card party at the town hall Saturday evening, which was sponsored by the Busy
Three 4-H Club.
Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Williams and Mrs. Art Williams we re
dinner guests Sunday at the Mrs. Chris Feutz home. Mr. and Mrs. DeWayne Mashin
and son of Tomah were supper guests Sunday at the Williams home.
Mr. and
Mrs. Roger Short and family returned to West Allis Thursday after spending a few
days with his mother, Mrs. Frank Short, and brother, Kenneth Short and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Qualley and married daughter, Carole, and son, from
California, called on several neighbors last week. They called at the Oliver
Williams, Elmer Kapfer, Mrs. Chris Feutz and Bruce Spiegel homes. Mr. and Mrs.
Qualley took them to Minneapolis on Friday, where they took a plane on their
return trip home. She spent about a month with her parents.
Ricky Kuhn,
Ricky Sebesta, Dale and Garry Hohenstein, Mark Cassum, Mrs. Harley Cassum and
daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Clam Steffis and Mrs. Art Williams were entertained at
the Oliver Williams home Thursday evening in honor of the 12th birthday of their
son, Marvin.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Sorenson and son of Wisconsin Rapids spent
the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Kuhn
Mr. and Mrs.
Albert Squires were dinner guests at the Mrs. Frank Short home Monday.
Maj. and Mrs. Byron Trachte and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Trachte were supper guests
Friday at the Lyle Abrahamson home in Fairchild. Monday they were supper guests
at the Chuck Boyer home, and Tuesday were dinner guests at the Wayne Kurth home
in Granton.
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Elberts have returned to Spirit Lake,
Ia., after spending a couple of weeks with her mother, Mrs. Art Odell.
Mr. and Mrs. John Reinart and family called Sunday afternoon at the Clayton
Reichenbach home near Black River Falls.
Mrs. Richard Gallager and
daughters, Mrs. Art Williams and Mrs. Oliver Williams, were recent guests at the
DeWayne Mashin home in Tomah, and supper guests at the Nathan Vandeberg home in
Wisconsin Rapids.
Mr. and Mrs. Merle Austin and David, and Mr. and Mrs.
Stanley Kosmoski, were recent visitors at the Mrs. Art Odell home.
Mr.
and Mrs. Donald Havlicek and family visited Thursday evening at the Charles
Havlicek, Sr., home. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Havlicek, Jr. and family visited
Friday evening at the Charles Havlicek, Sr., home.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Short and family and Mrs. Frank Short visited Tuesday evening at the Duane
Matousek home in Curtiss.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Short called Friday
afternoon at the Red Wallace and Mildred Drew homes in Neillsville. Mr. and Mrs.
Wallace and Mrs. Drew of Milwaukee are spending the week at their homes here.
Walter Wucki of Oshkosh is spending a week’s vacation with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Wucki.
