Henkins, Mr./Mrs. Charles (Gold - 14 AUG 1962)
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Henkins of Stanley, former farmers in the town of Worden
(Clark Co., Wis.), celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary at their home in
Stanley with “Open House” Sunday, Aug. 12th. A program was given by the Friendly
Neighbors Club of Thorp.
The former Wilfreda Brown and Charles Henkins
were married on Aug. 14, 1912, in Perry, Iowa. They resided in Illinois,
Minnesota and South Dakota before coming to Wisconsin in 1919. They farmed in
Worden Township, in Clark County, moving to the city of Stanley in 1945. Mr.
Henkins formerly a Falls Dairy field man has been retired for several years.
The Henkins have one son, Melvin of Stanley, two granddaughters and one
great-grandchild.
