Hickman, Mr./Mrs. John (Gold - 10 SEP

Mr. and Mrs. John Hickman celebrated their Golden Wedding on
Sunday, Sept. 2nd, 1962.
A dinner was served to close relatives and
friends of the couple. An open house was held from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m. at the
church hall. The Hickman’s grandson, John Bujalski, was the MC for the occasion,
with a greeting from the community by Mayor Wadzinski, letters from Gov. Nelson,
Rev. Francis Wallace of Elmwood and A. Papal Blessing Scroll, presented by Rev.
Brockman, gift of their only daughter, Alma and son-in-law Francis Bujalski.
Mary Bradle was united in marriage to John Hickman on Sept. 10, 1912 at St.
Bernard’s in Thorp, with Rev. John Neises officiating.
Mary Bradle, the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bradle, was born Jan. 26, 1893 at Sherry, Wis.
John Hickman, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hickman, was born Oct. 13, 1886(?)
at Kiel, Wis. The Hickmans, who retired in 1952(?) farmed in the Thorp area and
Mr. Hickman is also a retired employee of the O&N Lumber Co.

Bradle, Crandon, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bradle, Laona, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bradle,
Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bradle and daughter, Madison, Mr. and Mrs. William
Bradle, Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Bradle and family, Milwaukee, Mrs.
Katherine Bradle, Mr. and Mrs. John Godden and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert
Alger and sons, Mrs. Frances Rasmussen, Mayor and Mrs. Frank Wadzinski, Dr.
Francis Neis and Rev. Francis Brockman, all of Thorp, Mrs. Ruth Brunett and
family of Stanley, Mr. and Mrs. John Fischer, Stratford, Mike Platteter,
Milwaukee, Mrs. Theresa…(the rest of the names were unreadable on my copy)
