Ramberg, Mr./Mrs. Oscar (Gold - 20 NOV 1962)
The
Golden Wedding Anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Ramberg of 212 E. Maple St.,
Stanley, Wis., was celebrated on Sunday, Sept. 16th, 1962 with a reception at
Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. The buffet supper was served by members of the
Rachel Circle, of which Mrs. Ramberg is a member. The reception was attended by
a host of friends and relatives from near and many from out of town.
The
couple received many cards, gifts and a purse of money.
An interesting
program of songs and poems appropriate to the occasion was presented by members
of the family and friends.
Mrs. Ramberg wore a purple silk print jacket
dress with a white orchid corsage.
The former Emma Brown and Oscar
Ramberg were married on Nov. 20, 1912 in Thorp (Clark Co.), Wis., and resided on
a farm south of Thorp for 32 years.
They retired and moved to Stanley in
1945.
The Ramberg’s five children and families were all home to help
celebrate the happy occasion.
Mr. and Mrs. Truman Ramberg of Ladysmith,
Wis., Orville Ramberg of Washington, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Don E. McDowell of
Walnut Creek, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. DeForest Ramberg and son Robert of Vancouver,
Wash., Mr. and Mrs. Roger Ramberg and son Peter and daughter Jill of Eau Claire,
Wis. were out of town guests.
This was the first time in 23 years the
family has all been together.
There were guests present from Oakland and
Walnut Creek, Calif., Vancouver, Wash., Washington, Iowa, Minneapolis And St.
Paul, Minn., Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, Cadott, Thorp, Withee, Neenah, Suring,
Madison, Brillion, Milwaukee, Wis. and Chicago, Ill.
