Jensen, Jens A. #2 (16 JUL 1882 - 7 OCT 1962)

Jens A. Jensen, 85, died of old age complications Sunday at the Havenet Nursing Home in Owen (Clark Co., Wis.).

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Nazareth Lutheran Church. The Rev. Beryl Knudson officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Jensen was born July 16, 1882 in Denmark. He came to the United States and was married in Iowa in 1908 to Anna Christen Nielsen, who died Dec. 16, 1955.

In 1918 he moved to Wisconsin and operated a farm north of Withee. He was a member of the school board in the town of Hixon, a member of the Withee Shipping Association for 17 years, served as treasurer of the cemetery board for 20 years and was a member of the Nazareth Lutheran Church.

He is survived by three sons, Arnold, Eau Claire, Leonard, Withee, and Erling, Cedarburg; a daughter, Mrs. E. (Mildred) Richwald, Minneapolis; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
