Downer spent Sunday at Joe Downer’s.
Ernest Yankee has well drillers from
Chili this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Chapel and their two children spent
Sunday with Mrs. Amelia Converse.
Miss Elsie Johnson is home from Withee
where she taught, since Saturday. Her school closed last week.
Adelbert
Gardner writes home from Two Harbors, Minn., where he is with Co. A. of the 3rd
Infantry that he is recovering from an operation for appendicitis.
Miss
Elsie Kempine, who is here caring for Mrs. Lew Smith, was home in Chili for an
over Sunday visit.
Mrs. Lue Smith has been confined to her bed for the
past week suffering with a carbuncle on her left foot.
Mrs. Earl Stetter
and baby Mary Adeline are here from Highland, visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs.
Lew Smith since Tuesday.
Mrs. F.J. Baer autoed out and visited Mrs. Lue
Smith on Tuesday.
