Ratzburg, daughter of Louis Ratzburg, Loyal, became the bride of Richard Louis
Schram of Beaver Dam Saturday, September 24, at 2:30 o’clock at the First
Evangelical Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs.
Elmer Schram of Beaver Dam.
Harvey Vorphal sang “Because” and “The
Wedding Prayer” and was accompanied on the organ by Donald Vorphal.
The
Rev. William Schmidt officiated at the ceremony for which the bride chose a
floor length gown of Chantilly lace over taffeta and tulle, styled with a
Sabrina neckline and long pointed sleeves. The fitted bodice was fashioned with
lace appliqué and alternate layers of lace and tulle made her full bouffant
skirt. A matching crown of lace and peaels held her fingertip veil of pure silk
illusion. She carried a cascade of American Beauty Roses and stephanotis.
Lorena Schmidt came from Bainbridge, Maryland to be her cousins honor
attendant. The groom’s sister, Marie Schram of Beaver Dam was the bridesmaid.
They were seen in long formals of nylon organdy over taffeta. The bodice was
styled with a scalloped neckline and was highlighted with a crushed cummerbund
forming a back bow. Their full skirts were of scalloped tiers. Matching clip
hats of straw braid with Maline nose veils were worn. They helds nosegays of
blue tinted feathered carnations.
Best man was Robert Ganske of Beaver
Dam and groomsman was Robert Ratzburg, a brother of the bride from Loyal.
Seating the guests were Kenneth Ruehl and William Muche.
A reception and
dance were held at the American Legion Hall.
The bride is a graduate of
Loyal High School and her hsband graduated from Beaver Dam High School. She is
employed by the Wisconsin Telephone Company and he at the J. J. Neuman Plumbing
Company.
After a honeymoon through northern Wisconsin and upper Michigan,
the couple will reside at 2541/2 Walnut St. Beaver Dam.
