Milz, Cresco, Iowa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Milz, Loyal and Paul Charles
Jirak, Ridgeway, Iowa, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jirk, Sr. of Ridgeway were wed
by the Rev. Roman Schares in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Saturday in Cresco,
Iowa. A dinner and a reception followed the ceremony in the church dining hall.
The bride chose a gown of chantilly lace in princess style designed with a
Sabrina neckline trimmed with sequins and long pointed sleeves. The full skirt
extended into a chapel train. Her fingertip veil was caught to a crown also
trimmed with sequins.
Patricia Milz, Loyal was her sister’s maid of honor
and wore a dress of nylon organza over taffeta detailed with a cummerbund and
sash. The bridesmaids were seen in azure blue frocks fashioned with puffed
sleeves. They were sisters of the bridegroom, Betty and Lilly Jirk of Ridgeway.
A cousin of the groom, Edmond Srana, was his best man and groomsmen were
Donald Milz, Cresco and Duane Milz, Loyal, a cousin and brother of the bride.
The bride graduated from Notre Dame High School at Cresco and the groom is a
graduate of Protiben High School. She is employed at St. Joseph’s Mercy
Hospital, Cresco. After a honeymoon through Wisconsin the couple will make their
home on a farm at Ridgeway.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Milz, Patricia, Duane,
Nancy and Beverly and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pisney of Neillsville attended the
wedding.
