The young ladies of this
vicinity organized a sewing club last Wednesday consisting of about a dozen
girls. They will meet every Wednesday.
W.R. Happe and family and Mr. and
Mrs. Albert Lindow attended the graduating exercises at Marshfield Thursday
evening.
Jay Curtis has been laid up the past week, the result of a motor
cycle accident.
Mrs. Bertie Todd spent the last of the week helping to
care for her sister, Mrs. R. Fields, and get acquainted with the new boy.
Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Davis and son Elton spent Saturday until Monday at
Gordon Davis’.
M. Dorst and family were guests at the Lem Curtis house
Sunday.
Miss Florence Converse assisted Mrs. Ernest Lee with her sewing
last week.
Earl Drake is a bronco buster these days, but sometimes he has
to catch the bronco first.
James Ewing and friend of Spencer spent Sunday
with his sister, Mrs. L. Curtis.
Misses Elda Happe and Ella Schmidtke are
home from their school duties at Marshfield.
Mrs. Gusta Schmidtke and
daughter Carrie and Mae and son Herman spent Sunday at Joe Madler’s.
Beulah Curtis is spending this week at the M. Dorst home at Johnson Corners.
Ell Lee and wife left last Friday for a several days visit to their daughter
Mrs. Levi Morris in Waukesha County.
Ernest Lee and wife entertained the
Dale Lee family, Lew Smith and family and Mrs. Earl Stettler and baby, on
Sunday.
Frank Davis and Venrie Kintzele were business callers in this
vicinity Tuesday.
Mrs. Ernest lee and 2 children will leave Thursday for
a week’s visit with relatives at Ogdensburg and Weyauwega.
Otto Gruenke
and family, and Tom Verkilen autoed to Lynn on Sunday.
