John Phillips of Milwaukee arrived last Monday and is
remodeling the residence of C.W. Chubb.
M. Keller, wife and sons, and M.
Piertz of Levis visited Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Keller last week.
Mr. and Mrs.
John Schafer entertained the former’s sister from Lodi last week.
Born to
Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Montag of Chili, a son, June 16. Mother and child are doing
fine.
Miss Martha Opelt visited old friends in this place the fore part
of the week.
R.T. Washburn autoed to Marshfield Sunday.
Fred
Hankey and family autoed to Rozellville and spent Sunday with the Richard Gotter
family.
Miss Gertrude Helm is assisting Mrs. E.J. Montag of Chili with
her household duties.
John Monigan of Dexterville transacted business in
this place on Monday.
Mrs. John Martin entertained the Carnation Art Club
last Wednesday. 20 ladies were present and a pleasant day was spent. Mrs.
Pusheck, Mrs. August Dankemyer and Mrs. Ross of the town of fremon, and Mrs. Max
Opelt, Mrs. Arthur Opelt, Mrs. Paul Martin autoed up from the town of Levis and
attended the Club at Mrs. Martin’s.
Aug Walters of Lindsey transacted
business in this place between train on Wednesday.
Mrs. R.T. Washburn
attended the banquet given by the O.E.S. at Neillsville Tuesday afternoon and
evening.
Mrs. Nankevil and Robert Nankevil visited Mrs. Altenburg and
family Sunday.
O.W. Becker of Appleton has been spending a few days with
old friends here.
