Local Miscellany
Ben George drove down
from Stetsonville on Tuesday to exhibit his harness attachment by which a horse
can be unhitched from a buggy in an instant. It is an excellent thing.
Herman Brehm is remodeling the hotel saloon, making two rooms into one,
re-ceiling, putting in a new floor and setting the front out flush with the
front of the main portion of the building.
J. F. Cleghorn, grand chief
templar of the state, just sent the Good Templar’s Lodge, of this place, a fine
cabinet picture of himself, which will be framed and hung in their hall.
Mr. Hayden Marsh has left a specimine of oats at the post office that show a
excellent yield. He did not know the variety. Some of the heads measure over a
foot in length and are will filled.
